A bit more about Solar’s Real Food Kitchen....

Located in Springfield, Minnesota Solar's Real Food Kitchen serves as a boutique food manufacturing kitchen.  The name reflects the solar panels used to help heat the kitchen. It was also named to reflect the goal of preparing less-processed foods for people that have come to depend on highly processed foods for convenience and flavor.

About Solar's Real Food Kitchen

Meet the Founders...

Deanne Bryce always dreamed of owning a business. However, she never thought it would be a food business. Deanne's first business venture was a leadership consulting business. Later she helped Steve when he purchased a little drive-in. Serving customers and understanding people's health concerns about food led to an interest in foods that make people feel strong. She remembers the first time a customer asked for vegan options. Not knowing what the term meant, Deanne asked to learn more. Later, a family member with acne learned that when animal products were replaced with whole food ingredients, his skin cleared up.

Steve Bryce worked in the food business for over thirty years. He never thought he’d be leading the way to find tasty plant based proteins at the center of the plate. Steve grew up as a farmer and worked in the meat business. Seeing the inefficiencies of meat production made him think about the sustainability of raising beef and pork. Steve broke away from his corporate work to study cooking. Then Steve bought and remodeled a former small town drive-in. Eventually as Steve came to research the health impact of eating animal products he started using his cooking skills to prepare vegan options.
